Only recently have researchers in the educational field begun to take into consideration the voices of the key players involved in the process of learning. International literature has shown that the students’ considerations on the educational systems, if taken in due consideration, may contribute greatly in ways such as the improvement of formative offers. The research described in the following contribution, has attempted to understand why some students attending high school abandon school prematurely. Above all, the research attempts to understand why many other students who attend lessons regularly, do not get any benefits from the current education. The study involved approximately one thousand students, of which some were drop outs, and others (the majority) regularly attended and, in some cases, were also scholastically endowed. The study asked them to describe the type of school they had had and the type of school they would have liked to have. The answers received were punctual and very accurate. They will be analyzed by a group of teachers that have constituted in putting together a course of un’ action - research aimed at experimenting processes of improvement beginning exactly with the students’ considerations.
