DOI: 10.1016/j.ijantimicag.2004.11.003 AbstractThis study describes the antimycobacterial activity of new quinoxaline derivatives against clinical isolates of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other mycobacteria (M. bovis, M. cheloneae, M. avium sub. paratuberculosis). Isolates were collected in the Department of Biomedical Science (Sassari University). One of the most important steps of tuberculosis pathogenesis is the infection of alveolar macrophages and so for this reason, we observed the intracellular action of these drugs in mouse macrophages.
