The article deals with some problematic aspects posed by the design and implementation of a website aimed at providing some online EFL extra-curricular resources to students attending science degree courses at the University of Sassari, Italy. Particular attention has been devoted to what type of EFL didactic material would be most useful in providing additional support to enhance students' reading comprehension skill, given their specific situation and language needs.
