Abstract

Geringe Katalysatormengen und kurze Reaktionsdauer genügen zur quantitativen Reduktion von Ketonen durch 2-Propanol und den Komplex [RuX(CNN)(dppb)] (siehe Struktur; X=H, Cl), dessen dreizähniger Ligand sich von 6-(4-Methylphenyl)-2-pyridylmethylamin ableitet. Die Reduktion scheint über eine reversible Insertion des Substrats in die Ru-H-Bindung zu verlaufen, bei der ein RutheniumII)-alkoxid entsteht. dppb=Ph2P(CH2)4PPh2.
