Abstract

In the triennium 1969-'71, the production possibilities of 5 meadow gramineae and 3 meadow leguminosae were tested. The best results were achieved with the Alfalfa «Locale» (ecotype isolated by the Institute of Agronomy) and with the fescue «Manade» and the dactylis «Aries », the annual mean productions of dry matter - in the triennium - being rcspec tively of 69.45 a 65.08 - 61.71 q/ha. These results were achieved on soils whose production of non-fertilizcd natural pastures does not overcome 15-20 q/ha of dry matter per year and in which leguminosae and graminaceae represent a scarse 1890 of the flora against the 70°4 of crucifers and Compositae non utilizable by the livestock.
