The work presents the difficult connection between the labour market and the social security system, by following a reconstructive approach of reality. It analyzes the idea of flexicurity and it evaluates its current application, through a comparison between this principle and the themes of occupability and training. The subjects covered in this job take account of European Union legislation, dealing with the pathological effects of the current economic crisis. Crisis which produces a different configuration of social rights in the context of the knowledge society, understood as a means of economic recovery of the European Union. The research continues, by the interpretation method of the transit of meaning, through the comparison between the labour principles of the Italian Constitution and the CFREU, in order to identify a new guiding principle of the relationship between the labour market and the social security system, natural achievement place of social rights. This principle has been identified in human dignity.
